Who would have guessed? At the last minute Senate Republicans and Democrats came to together to reach a fiscal cliff deal. Seriously who would have guessed this would happen besides everyone?
Both parties postured for weeks and when they had to come together to reach a deal, they did. (As of now, I don’t know what’s going to happen in the House.) Neither party wanted to make concessions, but neither wanted to be the one who refused to compromise. It was one of these very common non-story stories. It gets reported on everyday and then the most likely conclusion happens and we act likes it’s news.
There’s a reason Nationsmith hasn’t felt the need to touch on the fiscal cliff. It would be like us giving our opinion on the tides. (We do have a lot of disagreements on the merits of high vs. low tide.)
The news shouldn’t even bother reporting what’s expected. I want them to report on something I didn’t expect. CNN, NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, etc. only tell me if these don’t happen:
– During hurricane season, hurricane slams east coast.
– Chris Christie is the next President of the United States.
– The Miami Heat win the 2013 NBA Finals.
– A Royal Family member is pictured wearing all of their clothing.
