Just Another Non-Controversial Controversy in the First World

Penn State is back in the news after an incident that happened at a sorority party last weekend. Investigators don’t know how quite yet, but it appears that Jerry Sandusky escaped from prison and somehow forced 25 sorority girls to pose in a racist photo and upload it online before returning to his cell. It unclear how he made his escape and return undetected given that he is under lock and key and monitored by a security camera 24/7, but the investigation is ongoing.

Now comes the part where bored white people have to act like they’re outraged when they’ll simply post something pithy on Twitter or Facebook and forget all about this within minutes. These sorority girls aren’t racist. You know how I know that? Because there’s a mix of races in the very photo people are using to accuse them of racism. People can make race based jokes without being racist and certain comedians (we all know who they are) have built careers around doing just that.

Beyond that, why are we holding a group of 18-22 year old hot chicks to the same standard as a group of professionals when comes to ethnic sensitivity? Obviously a group dentists at an ADA convention would never pose for a photo like this, but were talking about a group of girls who are just months removed from high school. Can we please judge them by age expected maturity standards?

So if you’re one of those people pretending to be mad about this, you’re an idiot. Besides we all know this will blow over next week when they post photos of their Christmas party with them all dressed as slutty Santa’s Helpers.

P.S. Here’s how you know you’re normal (men only). When I first saw the racist photo I immediately picked out the chicks I wanted to have sex with. It took me about five seconds to piece together the racist part of the picture.
