One Giant Fall for Mankind

Ten days ago I thought that Felix Baumgartner was a pitcher on the San Francisco Giants and that the Red Bull Stratos was an MLS team. On Sunday morning Baumgartner free- falled into our hearts setting a world record by sky diving from 128,100 feet. The previous record holder is Joseph Kittinger who aided Baumgartner in his efforts to break his record. (Kittinger set the record in 1960.) If you watch the video, the man in audio contact with Baumgartner is Kittinger. A very noble show of sportsmanship by Kittinger, who if you watch the video could easily have died with his record. (It’s an age thing. He’s old as shit.) I watched it live, but if you haven’t seen it here’s the video:
